May the Christmas countdown begin!

And an advent calendar counts the days down in the sweetest way possible.

This year, instead of buying an advent calendar from a shop, we encourage you to make your own. Not only will you have fun preparing it but also when ready and hung, the advent calendar will become a charming element of wall décor.

How to make a cardboard roll package

You will need:

  • cardboard roll (we used a toilet paper roll)
  • brown paper
  • string
  • scissors

Instructions:

  • make 5-6 cuts (approx. 1 inch/ 2.5 cm long) at each end of the roll.
  • fold each section inwards, as shown in pictures 3 & 4.
  • don’t forget to place a small gift inside the roll before closing last section!
  • wrap the roll with the brown paper, creating candy shaped package.
  • make sure all is tightly wrapped by adding the string knot on each side.
  • the package is ready to be added to your advent calendar!
